Attention students interested in learning more about CHIPPEWA VALLEY TECHNICAL COLLEGE: The CVTC representative will be in the guidance office ONE LAST TIME THIS YEAR on Thursday, May 23rd. Come to guidance and sign up for a 15-minute appointment time.

Library fines are going out to CARES teachers.  Anyone with questions, please come into the LMC.  Let's get these fines paid before summer vacation!  Find those lost books, too and return them please.

Junior Optimist Club and CORE Value Reps will meet Friday, May 17 during first and second lunch.  We will meet in the FACS room - bring your lunch and your optimism.

This Friday May 17th is the very last day to checkout any materials from the library for the rest of the school year!!
All items are due back by Friday May 24th before we break for Memorial Weekend.

8th Grade Parents and Guardians,

Menomonie Middle School cordially invites you to our 2013 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the MMS gymnasium.  Join us after the ceremony for punch and cookies in the cafeteria.  Come celebrate this important transition in your child's life on 8th Grade Graduation Day.

We encourage all students to keep learning and reading during the summer. Reading Rockets published a wonderful May newsletter with lots of ideas and tips to keep your child reading when school is not in session.

Reminder to 8th graders that the high school activities sign up night is tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the MS cafeteria.  Please note the time change.  Information sheets will be available in your CARES class and the front office.

8th grade band, the performance at the high school is at the high school tonight.  Please be at the high school by 6:30.  Our band room will be open at 5:30 in case you forget your instrument.  Please see Mr. Farnlof if you need to check out a polo shirt.

The MHS Field house is looking for students interested in working as lifeguards and weight room aides. If you have your lifeguard certifications and are interested in a part-time job over the summer and into the next school year, please apply through the school district website. (WECAN) We are looking to hired a few lifeguards starting the end of May. Deadline for Applications is tomorrow, Friday, May 10th.

THE SECOND GRADES WILL BE GOING TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION SITE ON FRIDAY, MAY 17, 2013.  THEY PLAN TO LEAVE SCHOOL AT 9:00 AM AND RETURN AT 2:30 PM.

THE KINDERGARTEN CLASSES WILL BE GOING TO THE ENVIROMENTAL EDUCATION SITE ON MONDAY, MAY 20, 2013.  THEY PLAN TO LEAVE SCHOOL AT 9:30 AM AND RETURN AT 2:15 PM.

THE FIFTH GRADE CLASSES WILL BE GOING ON THEIR ART AND ARCHITECTURE FIELD TRIP ON FRIDAY, MAY 17 AND SATURDAY, MAY 18, 2013.  THEY PLAN TO LEAVE SCHOOL AT 7:00 AM ON FRIDAY,  MAY 17, AND RETURN  ON SATURDAY, MAY 18 BETWEEN 9:00 AND 10:00 PM.

Writing Club will be today from 3:00 - 4:00 in room 825.  All are welcome.
