WHAT IS THE STEP PROGRAM?
The Senior Tax Exchange Program gives senior citizens (62 or older who receives Social Security and has taxable property within the school district) the opportunity to work in the district and apply their earnings toward payment of property taxes.
HOW IS THE WORKER COMPENSATED?
In exchange for a maximum of ~60 hours of work, approved applicants will earn a property tax credit of $429.
