District Information and Technology Planning Team

There are a multitude of committees that the Planning Team has drawn upon to write this plan. Membersof the Planning Team serve on the District Curriculum Council (oversees curriculum and instruction),District Assessment Committee (oversees district level assessments and directions), InstructionalTechnology Committee* (carries out the implementation of the district plan), Administrative Technology Page 15 Menomonie Area School District, Information and Technology Plan, July, 2007 – June, 2010 Committee** (carries out the implementation of administrative systems and processes), DistrictProfessional Development Committee (oversees district professional development planning andimplementation for staff), ESEA Planning Team, District Assistive Technology Committee (servingspecial education student needs), K-12 Library Media Committee (assists the activities of the K-12 librarymedia program), and the District Executive Council and Lead Team (administrative oversight andsupport). This is an efficient process used by SMDA to ensure collective decision making and input are available in carrying out the strategic plan.
